ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN UP DAYOcean_Conservancy_Coastal_Cleanup

Saturday, September 19, 2020

9 am to 12 noon

Join the USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 9 – 10 Cape Coral at the Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at:

Horton Park and Boat Ramp, 2600 SE 26th Place, Cape Coral, FL   33904                           (at the end of Everest Parkway)

Volunteers will be given water, gloves, data sheets, pencil, garbage bags, and t-shirts (while supplies last).   We can guide volunteer groups to locations needing attention such as Four Mile Cove and Jaycee Park.

Volunteers can sign up now at Keep Lee County Beautiful site click here or sign-up on-site.
The Site Coordinator is Pat McCarn  (239) 242-0883.

Horton Park and Boat Ramp was selected because it is in close proximity to Four Mile Cove. The Cove is an excellent location for kayakers to pick up trash along the shoreline and hikers to follow the trail along the parking area and Midpoint Bridge.

Jaycee Park is another excellent location to pick up marine debris along the Caloosahatchee River.

Cape Coral residents residing on the canals or access to small boats can pick up marine debris along and at the end of their canals and bring the debris to the dumpster at Horton Park.

Volunteers are also needed to collect debris in and around the Cape Coral Bridge.   All debris should be brought to the Horton Park dumpster.
